The unit is a marine vertical flue boiler with cross tubes and internal horizontal tube. The boiler is of all copper construction with the exception of the brass mounting plate at the base, all bushes and ferules are of bronze. It is designed for gas firing by butane/propane mix.

The boiler is supplied already clad in ceramic fibre insulation and planked in pear wood and fitted with brass boiler bands.

Also included are sight glass, steam valve, pressure gauge and  ceramic burner. Options include gas attenuator, combined by-pass/check valve, oil separator and rechargeable gas tank.

 

 

In this picture the Martin Baylis Engineering Kingdon boiler can be seen with the three cylinder engine complete with oil separator, gas tank and feed water reservoir.

Visible are the steam control valve, pressure gauge, feed water by-pass/check valve and sight glass.

The top of the boiler has a brass finishing disc, copper dome and stainless steel base to the funnel.

 

 

 

In this picture the sight glass can clearly be seen also note the exhaust from the oil separator passing into the side of the boiler and hence into the funnel. The gas valve on the refillable gas tank can also be seen along with the safety valve on top of the boiler.

This image shows the dummy fire door in some detail complete with its brass handle. The cladding can also be seen along with the brass boiler bands.

 

 

In this picture the steam valve, bottle siphon pressure gauge, dummy fire door, water sight glass and combined by-pass and check valve (optional) can be seen.
